Sound Postcard : 015 : California Beach

I brought you some ocean from the West Coast. I crouched down as close to the water as possible without getting wet, so that I could capture the waves roll across the beach in stereo [from right to left]. If you listen closely, when the waves crash on the sand and rush towards me in a current of water receding to foam, you can hear the water slowly drain into the sand, and then the popping of the tiny air bubbles, as the earth exhales. I could listen to this all day...

Sound Postcard

Have you been keeping up with the updates on the actual site at headphonecommute.com? If not, no worries, I'll give you the skinny on here... You see, I started publishing these Sound Postcards... You know how some people take pictures? Well... I take sounds... Inspired by Taylor Deupree's One Sound Each Day project, I set off on my own journey of aural documentation of my life. Except, there are no rules for this one. No scheduled daily search of sound, and no particular beginning or end. These are just my Sound Postcards... From me to you...
